I am super excited to share my experience with Animoto! Not only has it helped me expand my business but also it created an easy way to further my marketing techniques!
Animoto offers such a great product because it allows my clients to have instant gratification post wedding. And as all wedding photographers know our clients want to relive their special day immediately!
I do this by creating an animoto slideshow no more than 72 hours after their wedding day. This is my way of keeping the memory fresh in not only the bride & grooms mind but also in the parents and potential clients whom attended. And thanks to social media even those whom did not. I then send an email with the link of the slideshow to the bride & groom and their parents. I do diligence by sending this to each of my clients. Yes folks there are some people who do not have facebook! One bride in particular sent the slideshow to 400 of her friends and family and from that ONE slideshow we booked FOUR weddings.
Some cool features of Animoto are as follows:
After I upload the images I always pick the classic style. This is such a fabulous feature because it can help set the tone of their event. I then choose a song from the LONG list of royalty free music. As we all know music evokes the emotion from the bride & grooms special day. I can link the slideshow instantly and for free to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and via email! It’s important that you use royalty free here for 2 reasons
1 Artists deserve their fair share the same way we would like recognition for our images!
2 If you don’t use royalty free music facebook will kick your post off!
Remember its super important to post these slideshows to facebook. It is a great way to get your work noticed. I cannot emphasize this enough. It is a crucial component to our business and our marketing philosophy.
The use of Animoto has been valuable in other ways such as reaching out to planners, potential clients and adding that special visual to my newsletters and blog posts!
